joined Rampurhat hospital

I joined Rampurhat hospital today. Let me set some goal. I am more confident , more experienced surgeon than 2010 when I left Rampurhat hospital. I shall try to make amark this time..let me hope l shall set high standards this time with GOD on my side.

Last day in bardhaman

Tomorrow I'm all probability i will be released. I joined Rampurhat way back in 2012. Long 7 yrs. Lot of memories. Sweet and sour. I hope to have a good beginning in Rampurhat. Now that I will be unit head. I have to manage the unit, it will be certainly a new experience. I pray to God tha let me spend rest of the tenure with lot of respect and honour as a great surgeon. Let it be a perfect combination of glory honour and good practice.

Going to puri for the fourth time. By air this time. Sealdah Puri দুরন্ত express has been cancelled, so I booked flight in a hurry at a price three times normal. Conference is in bhuboneswar.

lap appendix

Last Monday I did one lap appendix, which was done with monopolar cautery. Bipolar cautery was not functioning. Appendix tied with roeder's knot. Appreacited by PGTs.

new challenges

Life will bring new challenges. One has to accept that. Time has come to lead from the front. Now I have learnt whatever I could, time has come to pass the knowledge.

Transferred and posted at Rampurhat

Finally transfer order came out. I have been posted in Rampurhat. I asked GOD to do what is best for me. Because I could not decide what is better for me. 4 hr long journey for 3 days a wk is definitely problematic. Now let me see the pros and cons of postings......

At first the cons.

1. Miss the PGTs

2. Miss Prof RSBiswas.

3. A little more workload.

Now the pros 

1. At some point if time you have to take responsibility of leading the unit. I AM happy, it came early.

2. I had nothing more to learn from Prof RSBiswas. I was with him for more than 7 yrs. Mainly learnt doing prostate and laparoscopy under him.

3. I have to find some way to stay academic. Since there is no PGTs.

4 It is better than being transferred to some distant medical college.

5. If I want to learn more, the workshops, conferences are there. I hope I will enjoy working here.

difficulties in lap chole

1. Making first Port

2. Checking calot's after operation.

3 checking ports for bleeding.

My solutions are.

Regular practice of one technique  for fisst Port. Checking calot's after dissecting gb halfway through liver. 

Before taking out gb routinely check all the ports with camera for bleeding. Regarding umbilical Port we should have 360 view again during end of operation.
