Our conference was in Delhi. We have planned to go to Delhi (beforehand. I have booked tickets for rajdhani on 12th. AS our conference was from 15 to 20th. But at the last moment exam for departmental promotion was was declared on 15th dec. So I have To cancel railway reservation and book airway ticket.
First experience on plane
It was Indigo 274. I was not acquainted with airport system. So I was very nervous at the beginning. I had to undergo the system of bag checking,taking the boarding pass, depositing the bags, entering the airport through the metal detectors etc.
We have to enter through gate no 2A. A bus was waiting to take us to the plane.
PLANE MOVED GRADUALLY TO ITS RUNAWAY BEFORE SPEEDING UP AND FLYING OFF. I was a little tense throughout. But altogether it was a lovely experience. Landing was smooth.
Hyatt hotel.:--- it claims to be a five star hotel. But facilities are below average. Bathroom doesn't have any locks to lock it from inside. Thats horrible. room service is sloppy. you order water and they will keep you waiting for one hour. on the day of arrival we ordered dinner at 11.30pm. We took a nap for one hour before it was delivered.
breakfast was so so. lunch/ diner was very costly. To pay Rs 4000+ for dinner for 3 persons is too much for us.
Zuventus sponsored hotel and the car.
Delhi sightseeing:--
Red fort:—It was built by sher shah. there was few buildings like dewan e am dewan e khash mahal, rang mahal. It is worth seeing.
India gate:-- It is a beautiful place .Lot of people goes there to pay homage to the sahids of first world war.
Jantarmantar: Nothing much to see.
kutubminar. Worth seeing for the first time. there is no reason to see it again and again.
iron pillar. it doersot get rust for so many years but there is nothing to be thrilled.
lotus temple.---It looks like lotus. architecture is worth seeing.
humayun tomb: It has a similarity with Taj mahal. It was a beautiful place to see.
Marketting:
Sarojininagar : It is a standard market with affordable price.
Palika market at connaught place; It was over crowded. looked more like chandni of calcutta.
select city walk. I think one should walk through it. Things are very costly.
rajdhani express. WE returned by rajdhani express. i have never boarded rajdahani before, snacks dinner and breakfast and mineral water are served free. we have no about this before.
